Privacy Policy for Deadly Balloons
Effective Date: 2026-07-20
Deadly Balloons is a portrait bullet-hell arcade game. This policy explains the information used by the game, its online leaderboards, optional rewarded ads, analytics, and crash reporting.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
You may choose a public leaderboard nickname. The game also posts your best campaign clear times and highest Endless wave to the public leaderboard. You do not provide an email address, password, phone number, profile image, or real name to use the app.
1.2 Identifiers and Online Services
When a leaderboard is used, Firebase Authentication creates a random anonymous user identifier. Firebase Installations and Firebase Crashlytics also create per-installation identifiers. These identifiers support leaderboard records, service operation, analytics, and crash diagnosis; they are not a user-facing account and are not used to collect your email address or other sign-in credentials.
1.3 Automatically Collected Information
Firebase Analytics records app interactions and technical information such as game events, app version, device and operating-system information, language, session information, and approximate region. Firebase Crashlytics receives crash logs, stack traces, diagnostics, device metadata, recent breadcrumb events, and the anonymous identifier attached by the app. Collection of Analytics and Crashlytics data is enabled only in release builds.
Google AdMob automatically collects and shares IP address (which may be used to estimate approximate location), app interactions such as launches, taps and ad views, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Data is encrypted in transit.
1.4 Locally Stored Data
Progress, high scores, settings, audio preferences, unlocked content, and the locally saved leaderboard nickname are stored on your device. Local data is removed when you clear the app’s storage or uninstall the app.
2. How We Use Information
Provide and maintain gameplay and public leaderboards
Save and display leaderboard nicknames and scores
Understand feature usage and improve the game
Diagnose crashes, bugs, and performance problems
Deliver, measure, and protect optional rewarded advertisements
Prevent abuse of Firebase and advertising services
3. Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell personal information. Information is processed or shared only as needed with these service providers:
Google AdMob — optional rewarded advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention (Privacy Policy)
Google Firebase Analytics — usage analytics (Privacy Information)
Google Firebase Authentication — anonymous identifiers for leaderboards (Privacy Information)
Google Cloud Firestore — leaderboard nicknames and scores (Privacy Information)
Google Firebase Crashlytics and Sessions — crash, diagnostic, and session-quality information (Privacy Information)
Google Firebase Installations — per-installation service identifiers (Privacy Information)
4. Advertising and Consent
Deadly Balloons offers optional rewarded ads; ads do not interrupt a run automatically. Google AdMob may use advertising identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, app interactions, and diagnostics to serve, measure, and protect ads. Where required, the app shows Google’s consent form before requesting ads. You can change ad-personalization choices in the app’s privacy options or in Android’s privacy and Ads settings.
5. Public Leaderboards and User Content
Leaderboard nicknames and scores are visible to other players. Nicknames are limited in length and characters and are checked by an in-app profanity filter before submission. Do not use your real name or other personal information as a nickname.
6. Data Retention
Local game data remains until you clear app storage or uninstall the app. Leaderboard nicknames, anonymous user identifiers, and best scores remain in Firestore until they are replaced by a better score or deleted following a request. Analytics, advertising, authentication, diagnostic, and service logs follow the retention schedules of the Google services listed above. Limited records may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or resolving a deletion request.
7. Data Deletion Requests
Deadly Balloons does not offer a user-facing account-creation flow. You can still request deletion of server-side data associated with your leaderboard nickname or anonymous handle.
Email rexyrex.dev@gmail.com with the subject Deadly Balloons data deletion and include the leaderboard nickname or anon-xxxxxx handle you want removed. We may ask for reasonable information needed to locate and verify the record. Once matched, we will delete the associated leaderboard nickname, score records, and anonymous authentication record from systems we control. Information already aggregated or de-identified, and limited security or service logs that cannot reasonably be linked back to you, may remain according to the retention rules above.
To delete data stored only on your device, clear Deadly Balloons’ app storage or uninstall the app.
8. Security
Information sent to Google services is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We use Firebase security controls and reasonable technical measures to protect leaderboard data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
9. Children’s Privacy
Deadly Balloons is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in their jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
10. International Transfers
The Google service providers listed above operate globally, so information may be processed outside your country of residence subject to those providers’ safeguards and applicable law.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app or its data practices change. The Effective Date above will be updated when changes take effect.
