How Old
Are You?
Age Test

Five quick games for your ears, reflexes, memory, eyes and focus. Each one guesses an age from how you play.

Free, no account needed. Or test your reflexes on this page first.

The app's home screen, titled How Old Are You?, with colored tiles for Hearing Test, Reaction Time, Memory Test, Vision Test, Tap Trail and Coming Soon.

Test your reflexes right here

When the light turns green, hit it: click, tap or press Space. Five rounds, then the booth makes its guess.

The booth needs JavaScript to run. The full Reaction Time test is in the app.

Five little tests, one big question

Pick any tile on the home screen. Every test ends the same way: with a number.

Hearing Test

A pure tone climbs from 200 Hz to 18 kHz over 30 seconds. Tap “I can't hear it!” the moment it fades out: the highest pitch you caught sets your age. Headphones or speakers both work.

6.1 kHzStop here and the app guesses 70.

Silent on this page: drag along the sweep to see where a tone sits and what age the app gives it.

Hearing Test in progress: “Can you hear this?” above a 6.1 kHz readout, a violet sine wave and an “I can't hear it!” button.

Reaction Time

Eight rounds. After a random wait of one to four seconds the screen flashes green and you tap anywhere. Jump the gun and that round starts over.

Reaction Time, round 1 of 8: the whole screen has turned green with a big white “TAP!”.

Pair Match

Sixteen cards show their faces for five seconds, then flip. Find all eight pairs. Speed and mistakes both count.

The memory test: a four-by-four grid of face-down teal cards, with pairs found and mistakes counted above.

Vision Test

Hold your phone at arm's length while a word shrinks through 13 sizes, from 28 pt down to 2 pt. Say when it's too small to read.

Vision Test, level 6 of 13 at 8 pt: a tiny word on an indigo card, with “I can read it!” and “Too small!” buttons.

Tap Trail

The numbers 1 to 25 are scattered across the screen. Tap them in order. The faster you finish, the younger the result.

Tap Trail: numbered circles from 1 to 25 scattered across the screen, a timer at 13.5 seconds and a hint to find 1.

Your age is...

Every test ends on the same reveal. The number counts up, a cheeky one-liner lands, and a “Why is my age…?” panel explains the result with the research behind it.

A Hearing Test result: “Your age is...” 45 in big coral numbers, a trophy and a joke about ears that have been to enough concerts.
The same result with “Why is my Hearing Test age 45?” opened, explaining that the upper limit of hearing drops with age.

The fine print, in big print

For fun, not a check-up

Results are playful estimates from how you play. They don't tell your real or biological age, and the hearing and vision tests are no substitute for a professional check. Volume, lighting, your device and practice all move the numbers.

What the app collects
